Great Adventurers (Week 1) Sample
Day Seven - Born For This
Welcome to our Great Adventurers Devotional - we are so excited to have you following along with us as we journey and look at some of the Great Adventurers in the Bible.
This week we are going to be looking at Moses' life and how he was Born For This!
READ:
‘The Burning Bush’ in the Beginners Bible - Pages 98-103 or in Exodus 3
Moses was worried that he would not have the words to tell Pharaoh all that God had told him, but God knew everything about Moses and told him not to worry - sometimes we can be worried that we don't have what we think we need, but we really don’t need to worry because God will always make sure we have enough!
Moses' brother Aaron was a good speaker and so God told Moses to take his brother with him to see Pharaoh. God told Moses to tell Aaron what to say and that way God’s message would be given to Pharaoh and Moses could be sure that he had done all that God had asked him to.
You see God will always make sure we have all that we need to do what He is asking us to do - God loves us, He created us, He knows us better than anyone else, even our grown ups! “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”
God knows everything He has planned for your life even before you were born! God knows that you are BORN FOR THIS!
ASK:
Have a think about some of the things you think you would love to be able to do - what dreams has God placed in your heart?
Maybe you could find a creative way of exploring your dreams? Maybe it’s drawing, singing, painting, writing, building. Whatever it is, you can be sure, YOU ARE BORN FOR THIS!
REMEMBER:
‘Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible!”’ (Matthew 19:26)
SAY:
I'm an adventurer, I am bold, I am strong, With the word of the Lord, I will follow, Wherever you lead, I won't stop, I've been set free! Amen!

About this Plan
In the Bible, we see that through ‘Great Adventurers’ God has changed the world that they live in for good. God can take even the seemingly bad things and turn them for good. We will follow the footsteps of these ‘Great Adventurers’ and see how God, through their boldness, changed the world around them! This week we‘re looking at the story of Moses and our memory verse in Matthew 19:26.
