7 Days of RestSample
DAY 4 — Jesus: Your Sabbath
In the Old Testament, the Sabbath (Rest) was a DAY. But in the New Testament, the Sabbath is a PERSON! God created the Sabbath under the Old Covenant to point His people to a day where they could cease striving and trust in His provision. Well, Jesus is now our Sabbath. We no longer have to set aside one day a week to cease striving and trust God; now it's a lifestyle to cease striving and know that He will provide our every need. What Jesus did on the cross empowers us to cease striving to be saved. He saves us. We cease striving to be healed. He heals us. And we cease striving to get God to keep His promises. Jesus labored and paid for it all on the cross. Now He is watching over His Word to perform it.

About this Plan
In this devotional, you're going to discover that God is committed to keeping His promises to you––no matter how far you've fallen, how often you've failed, or where you are in life. God doesn't need our holiness to prove His holiness. He doesn't need our promises to keep His promises. The struggle is over and Jesus did it all.
