Fear Busters (Week 4) Sample
Day One - God is for me
Hello Mini FearBusters! How are you all doing? Are you having fun following our journey with the Fear Busters?
As we have been journeying through our Fear Busters devotional we have been learning all about how God makes us Brave and helps us to bust our fears!!! This week we will be learning that God is for us!
Did you know that God is for you? He is always good. No matter what is going on around us, God is always with us! Maybe there are people around you that are sick? Maybe you know someone that is worried or afraid of becoming sick? What do you think the Fear Busters would say to you or those that are worried?
READ
Take some time to read ‘Jesus Teaches on a Mountain’ in the Beginners Bible (Pages 318-321) or in Matthew 6:25-34.
Jesus was teaching on a mountain, He spoke to the crowd and said “Look at the birds, do they store up food in barns? No God feeds them. Look at the flowers, they don’t work or make clothes. God dresses them in lush leaves and pretty petals. So don’t worry. If God takes care of them, He will take care of you. Jesus is telling people not to worry because He knows that God is good and is for us and is always with us! God looks after you because He cares for you and is for you!
ASK:
Can you think of something that you worry about or are afraid of?
Can you remember what the Fear Busters said about what to do when this happens?
REMEMBER:
“So what should we say about this? If God is for us, then no one can defeat us.” (Romans 8:31)
In our memory verse this week we can see that it tells us that God is for us so we don’t need to be afraid of anything!
Remember we can say our Fearbuster Prayer when we feel frightened or scared!
SAY - FEARBUSTER PRAYER:
You are bigger than my fears. You wipe away my tears. I have a voice to pray, you teach me what to say. I am brave because of you! This sickness just won't do, we tell it now to QUIT. We've had enough of it!
