Planting Seeds Of Biblical Truth: The Family Devotional GuideSample
Be Patient
TALKING TO GOD
Thank God for His patience and for helping you to be patient with yourself.
DIVING IN
Try to write your name or draw a picture with the hand you don’t normally use. If you make a mistake, start over. Talk about why it’s so frustrating to write or draw with your non-dominant hand.
GOING DEEPER
Think about times when God has been patient with you. In 2 Peter 3:15, the Bible says “and count the patience of our Lord as salvation.” God is patient with you not just in the area of salvation, but in every area of your life. He won’t give up on you, even when you make mistakes. You need to be as patient with yourself as God is with you. Instead of becoming frustrated, keep trying to do what is right before God, even when you fail, so you can become more like Jesus every day.
TALKING TO EACH OTHER
- How do you know God is patient with you?
- What is one area where you easily become frustrated?
- What is one thing you can do to become more patient with yourself?
