Ready to RiseSample
A Commission to Fulfill
Like those of the women of the Bible, our paths are likely complicated and unclear. Perhaps they are paths covered by our painful backstories and we cannot see beyond our brokenness.
Perhaps we exist in spaces where our voices are not heard or taken seriously. Maybe they don’t see us at all. Perhaps our context has been so disempowering that it’s the norm for our lives.
Maybe the challenge lies elsewhere. We know we have influence and the opportunities to shape our world, but we’re the first or one of few women in our environment. So we’re all making it up as we go, with our life stages (marriage, kids, empty nest, single living), pioneering new policies and practices as we enter them. It’s new and invigorating, and we’re uncertain if we are doing the right thing. It would be great to have someone ahead of us showing us how to make it all work.
Yet we follow a God who illuminates our pathways, complications and all, as we try to step into the unknown. Even though we’ve given up and people around us have given up on us, He takes us by the hand and invites us to rise up with the life and strength that only He can give us.
You have life-changing, culture-shaping, heaven-touching-earth type of influence. You have a commission to fulfill.
Whoever you are:
Your potential is worth cultivating.
Your God-given dreams need exploring.
Your talents and gifts need affirming and developing.
Your voice needs to be heard.
Your call needs to be responded to.
Your part in the Great Commission needs to be fulfilled.
Your influence needs to be unlocked.
Your impact needs to be felt.
You are worth investing in.
So it’s time to rise up.
Identify your areas of influence (for example: family, profession, volunteer roles, local community). Imagine Jesus inviting you to rise up in those places and step into your influence. What could that look like?
