What Is Easter All About?Sample

What Is Easter All About?

DAY 1 OF 6

It All Started When …

Did you know that all of the big thinkers in Christianity (and even all the big thinkers outside of Christianity) agree that Easter is the single most important day for Christians? It’s true! Do you know why?

Well, in order to know why it’s so important, you need to know a little more about it. Watch this video with a good friend of The Loop Show, Jason. He’s going to take you back to the very beginning of the story.

“God had other plans!” What were they? You’ll have to keep reading to find out. Jason will be back to tell you a little more of the Easter story—and a little more of his own story. Over the next five days, you’ll learn what Easter’s all about. You’ll learn what it means for you. And you’ll learn what you can do to join God’s amazing story!

For today, remember the first part of what Jason said. Basically, he said:

In the very beginning, God was together in an amazing community with Himself, made of God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. It’s hard to imagine, but we know that it was very good—so good that He wanted to share that community with a creation that could choose to love Him and live with Him if they wanted. So, He created humans!

Ask yourself: What questions do I have about Easter? After I’m done reading this Bible Plan, I might still have questions about Easter. Who can I ask any questions I might still have when I’m done? Who could I invite to read this Bible Plan with me?

Pray: God, thank You for the way You love us. Thank You for creating a beautiful world. Thank You for the wonderful people You’ve placed in my life. Help us to take good care of Your world and good care of one another. Help us to love others the way You love us. In Jesus’ name, amen.

About this Plan

What Is Easter All About?

Once, a man predicted His own death. He also predicted He’d only be dead for three days. And He was right! Jesus’ death and return to life are the amazing truths of the Easter story. Christians still celebrate the day. B...
