What does the Bible say about forgiveness? 

• God gives forgiveness to all who ask Him.

But if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all wickedness. (1 John 1:9)

But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners. (Romans 4:5)

• Since God has forgiven us, we must also forgive others.

Instead, be kind to each other, tenderhearted, forgiving one another, just as God through Christ has forgiven you. (Ephesians 4:32)
