CHAT-A-BOX Pt 7. Heaven and EarthSample

CHAT-A-BOX Pt 7. Heaven and Earth

DAY 4 OF 5

CONVERSATION STARTERS

Q1)  What do you think of when you hear the word angels?

Q2)  Do you think angels are real? Why?

What does the Bible say about angels?

  • Angels are messengers sent from God.

Then the angel said, “I am Gabriel! I stand in the very presence of God. It was He who sent me to bring you this good news!” (Luke 1:19)

  • Angels are amazing, but they are created beings and are not to be worshipped.

I, John, am the one who heard and saw all these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me. But he said, “No, don’t worship me. I am a servant of God, just like you and your brothers the prophets, as well as all who obey what is written in this book. Worship only God!” (Revelation 22:8-9)

  • Angels are spirits that help care for people who follow Jesus.

Therefore, angels are only servants—spirits sent to care for people who will inherit salvation. (Hebrews 1:14)

  • Angels celebrate whenever someone turns to God.

“In the same way, there is joy in the presence of God’s angels when even one sinner repents.” (Luke 15:10)

  • There are many angels in heaven that sing praises to God.

Then I looked again, and I heard the voices of thousands and millions of angels around the throne and of the living beings and the elders. (Revelation 5:11)
