CHAT-A-BOX Pt 6. The Power and Love of GodSample
CONVERSATION STARTERS
Q1) Who do you think are the top 3 most powerful people in the world?
Q2) What makes someone powerful?
What does the Bible say about power?
- God is all-powerful.
“O Sovereign Lord! You made the heavens and earth by your strong hand and powerful arm. Nothing is too hard for you!” (Jeremiah 32:17)
Jesus came and told His disciples, “I have been given all authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” (Matthew 28:18-20)
- God gives all who believe in Jesus power to live for Him.
“But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.” (Acts 1:8)
For the Kingdom of God is not just a lot of talk; it is living by God’s power. (1 Corinthians 4:20)
I also pray that you will understand the incredible greatness of God’s power for us who believe Him. This is the same mighty power that raised Christ from the dead and seated Him in the place of honor at God’s right hand in the heavenly realms. (Ephesians 1:19-20)
