I Am The Vine.

Day 21 - He is the Great I Am.

Abide. Abide. Abide. 

Let that word resonate with you for a while. It is a powerful Word within itself. Abide means to comply, observe, acknowledge, obey, or to follow. He provides a powerful verse that we too can hold on to - "I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing (John 15:5)." Apart from God, we can do absolutely nothing. From this day forward, make the following commitments: 

Abide in His commandments; 

Abide where He wants you to go, and 

Abide completely in Him. 

If you are lost and life seems overwhelming; seek His Divine Direction. 

It is time to commit to abiding. Commit to abide in His Word, Love, and Will. Give your life to Christ today. This decision is not only for you but for those around you. It is only through Jesus Christ that we can spend eternity with our Lord. Give your life to Christ today.

Reflection: Make today's "I Am" statement personal and make it your own.

Declare it: I Am ____________!

Conclusion 

You may wonder what happened to the young woman who decided to take this journey to learn about the Great I Am. During this period, many great things happened for her. She was able to restore valuable relationships, obtained a great deal of joy, and chose to connect with a local church. I am grateful that my small act of obedience to God led not only to a powerful fast with her but an opportunity to write this powerful devotional.  More importantly, it also helped me to learn about the power of the Great I Am!
