The key to making prayer work lies in knowing that prayer works. You have to believe that God rewards those who persistently seek Him. In order for prayer to work, you have to have faith—you have to know that it works.

For prayer to be effective, you need to know God’s will and pray accordingly. It’s easy to know God’s will because He had it written down for you in His word. You can find God’s will on any subject—your marriage, health, finances or children—in the Bible. Once you start praying according to God’s will, the Bible says that God hears you. God listens when you pray! You’re not just speaking into thin air. God is always faithful to His Word and to His promises. Have faith and believe that God always hears you. When God hears you, an amazing thing takes place—He answers you!

The pure truth is prayer works. You just need to understand this simple principle about prayer: know God’s will, know that He hears you and know that He answers. Imagine how incredible your prayer life will be when you apply this principle—it will change your life forever!
