The New Testament in 90 DaysSample
Introduction to Second Thessalonians
Paul wrote a second letter to this young church to further clear up the confusion they had about the second coming of Christ. Many of the people thought that it was imminent and that it would be at any moment. In fact, many false teachers shared fake letters from Paul telling the people that Jesus had already returned. Paul then writes about various events that will have had to occur, including the introduction of the “man of lawlessness,” before Jesus returns. He wrote this around A.D. 51-52, just a few months after his first letter to them.
