The New Testament in 90 DaysSample
Introduction to Ephesians
Paul wrote to the people in Ephesus sometime in A.D. 60-61 while he was in prison in Rome. Ephesians is one of four letters he wrote from prison along with Philippians, Colossians, and Philemon. These were referred to as the “prison epistles.”
Ephesians deals directly with what it means to be a Christian. It doesn’t appear that Paul was responding to any particular problem like he did with the other churches but instead, wanted to strengthen and encourage the believers to grow in their faith should false teaching begin to occur.
