Pray for the World: South AsiaSample
Sikhs gather morning and evening to pray and sing hymns. Turbans contain their uncut hair as a symbol of holiness and strength. Steel bracelets cuff their wrists to represent the eternality of their god. A dagger hangs at their side to represent the Sikh duty of defending the weak. They have these physical items on their body, yet no presence of the living God in their hearts. Sikhs believe in one god and a cycle of reincarnation that can be broken through meditation and a life of integrity. Twenty-three million people follow the Sikh’s sacred scriptures and gurus’ teachings.
Pray God would redeem Sikhs for his glory and that they would serve as mighty warriors for his kingdom.

About this Plan
From the heights of the Himalayas to the crystal-clear water of the Maldives, South Asia is both awe-inspiring and heart-wrenching. The birthplace of Hinduism and home to more than 500 million Muslims, South Asia has the largest concentration of non-Christians on the planet. In this reading plan, learn more about these people, who are loved by God, and pray Scripture over them.
