Pray For the World: Northern Africa and the Middle EastSample
Some people who live in remote, isolated, or even closed areas have yet to hear the gospel. It seems impossible that the good news can penetrate these barriers, but God is faithful. In the Horn of Africa, millions of people live in rural villages that are a half-day’s walk, or more, from the nearest paved road. There, the gospel is spread through written form, radio, solar-powered recording devices, cell phone memory cards, oral storytelling, and showings of the Jesus film. In Northern Africa, following the Arab Spring, some, but not all, closed countries have become open to the gospel. One country in particular is home to more than one million Arabs who have never heard the gospel and have no witness among them. Recently, this country has opened its borders to outsiders so that they can come to give aid to their hurting people.
Pray that the gospel would continue to overcome physical barriers. Ask that many will go with a helping hand and words of truth to Northern African countries open to receiving help.

About this Plan
In Northern Africa and the Middle East, history blends with the modern world. Though this region of the world is culturally rich, many of its people have never heard the gospel of Jesus Christ. But, the church is engaged in a captivating resurgence. In this reading plan, learn more about these people, who are loved by God, and pray Scripture over them.
