Walking Through Miscarriage With GodSample
"Comfort In God’s Word"
In Jeremiah 15, Jeremiah had accused God of not coming to his aide when he was in need. Jeremiah had allowed his circumstances to overwhelm him. He had taken his eyes off God and was now feeling sorry for himself. Jeremiah was angry, frustrated, overwhelmed and afraid. God did not respond in anger when Jeremiah laid his complaints against Him, rather, He lovingly pointed out what Jeremiah's purpose was.
We need to pour our hearts out to God in prayer, tell him our deepest darkest thoughts. He can handle it! God wants our trust put in Him alone, not our circumstances. God has allowed certain circumstances in each of our lives so that we can in return use these experiences to bring Him glory as well as help others who are going through the same thing. There will come a day when someone you know has to go through a miscarriage. You will now be the one who can help comfort them and encourage them through this devastating experience.
Jeremiah says "When your words came, I ate them; they were my joy and my heart's delight, for I bear your name, O Lord God Almighty." God brought so much encouragement to Jeremiah after he had poured his complaints out to God. He realized the power of God's words and how healing they were to his hurt and angry soul. God can and will do the same for you if only you allow Him to. Psalm 62:8 (amp) “Trust in, lean on, rely on, and have confidence in Him at all times, you people; pour out your hearts before Him. God is a refuge for us (a fortress and a high tower.) Selah [pause, and calmly think of that]!"
I encourage you to get alone on your knees before God in prayer. Take your time reading the following verses and write them out in your journal. Go back to these verses throughout your day and truly meditate on God's words and allow Him to comfort you today. If you don't know what to pray, pray the following verses to God.
