Developing a Steward’s MindsetSample
Millennium
When Jesus returns, He will establish a millennial kingdom (Revelation 20:6), a reign for one thousand years. He will make His entrance on the Mount of Olives just outside the old city of Jerusalem. He will rule by force.
Friend, if all you see is what is in front of you right now and you don’t authentically believe that Jesus is coming back and that His rewards are going to blow your mind, then you are going to function as an owner on earth rather than a manager. You are going to waste your time, talents, and treasures rather than invest them. The mindset of a kingdom steward, then, is that of an investor and not a spender. Investors ask and answer two strategic questions: What will be the long-term generational kingdom impact of my life in history? And what difference will that impact make for eternity?
But if you are willing to take the faith-risk in believing that everything belongs to God and that He wants you to use it for His glory in advancing His kingdom, you will experience an incredible reality when you enter heaven. If you will adopt and apply the worldview of a kingdom steward, based on God’s Word, I can guarantee you that He will blow your mind when He calls you for your audit. Now, you can’t change yesterday. Yesterday is done. You may have squandered what God gave you. But you can do a lot about today and even more about tomorrow.

About this Plan
Living life as a kingdom steward is not merely a task; it is a worldview. A worldview is a lens through which you look at all things. Just as a prescription set of glasses made to work with a specific person’s eyes will bring into focus that which had previously been out of focus, kingdom stewardship reveals how the world around us truly is.
