21 Days in God's Word

DAY 1 OF 21

Challenge Yourself

Whether you struggle with reading the Bible every day or just want to challenge yourself further, we’re here to help! Connecting with God through His Word each day will strengthen you as a follower of Christ.

There are plenty of reasons to read the Bible daily—it brings us peace, offers us wisdom, and guides us. The Bible teaches us how amazing our God is and how to live life to the fullest. It says in 2 Timothy 3:16-17 (MSG), “Every part of Scripture is God-breathed and useful one way or another— showing us truth, exposing our rebellion, correcting our mistakes, training us to live God’s way. Through the Word we are put together and shaped up for the tasks God has for us.”

Here are some powerful ways God’s Word impacts our lives:

It Guides Us In Truth
In a world full of lots of opinions, how do we know what’s actually true? For the Christ follower, we look to the Bible. When we are faced with anything, we can measure it with the truth of God’s Word.

It Helps Us Overcome Challenges
We all walk through difficult times in our lives, and we don’t always know how to respond. God’s Word offers us wisdom and guidance that no amount of human reasoning can.

It Encourages Us to Live God’s Way
Spending time reading God’s Word and applying it to our lives trains us to live the way God designed us to. Not so that He will love us more; so that we can live free and fulfill the purpose God has for each of us.

Over the next 20 days, we’ll jump into four New Testament books. You’ll read through Galatians, Ephesians, Philippians, and Colossians—one chapter a day. As you do, think about what you’ve read and ask God to help you apply it to your life.

Reflect
Write down a few ways the Bible has guided you in truth, helped you overcome challenges, and encouraged you to live God's way.
