Welcome to “Jesus In All Of Genesis.”

Genesis is not only the first book of the Bible, it is also one of the most important. Yes, we get to see the beginning of the earth and humanity. But we also get to see the beginning of God’s promises to save His people. 

In Genesis, we meet people and hear promises that shape the rest of the Bible and help us truly understand and treasure all God has done for us through Jesus. 

At Spoken Gospel, we believe that you can encounter Jesus on every page of Scripture - yes, even the Old Testament. 

It is our hope that, over the next 31 days, you will see the story of Genesis like you have never seen it before. 

Throughout your journey, you will read a total of 50 chapters, taking you all the way through the book of Genesis. 

Along your journey, you will read 23 devotionals. These short devotionals (they only take about 3-4 minutes to read) will seek to do three things for you, designated by three headings. 

1. What’s Happening? 

This section explains what is going on in the text. 

2. Where is Jesus? 

This section shows how this story ultimately points to Jesus and His Gospel. 

3. See For Yourself

This is a short, Trinitarian prayer meant to propel you into Scripture to see the good news of Jesus for yourself. 

Today you will watch an introduction we at Spoken Gospel have made to the book of Genesis. Then you’ll read Genesis chapter 1. 

Tomorrow you will read Genesis 2 along with your first devotional.
