The Power of VisionSample
Burdens provide passion for a vision to be achieved.
When Nehemiah heard about the needs in Jerusalem, where God’s people were oppressed and the city walls had been broken down, he prayed and fasted. As time passed, he felt bonded to the needs in Jerusalem, and his burden increased.
When God is birthing vision in your life, you see a need, and at some point, you cross the line from objective observation to a soulful yearning to do something about that need. The burden weighs heavily, and you cannot escape it. You mourn for what you have seen, and then you act.
God is birthing vision inside of you. It is time to be strong and courageous and take a step toward fulfilling the vision God has given you.
No matter what that next step may be, be encouraged. For the Christian, your courage is rooted and grounded in your relationship with God.
What is holding you back from taking the next step with God in your life? What challenges do you need to rise above?
Dare to ask God for strength and courage today. If you enjoyed this reading plan, we invite you to connect with ILI and discover how you can grow as a leader and accelerate the spread of the Gospel. For more information, please visit https://ILITeam.org/connect.
