GO2020 | ENGAGE: January Week 1 - WORDSample
January—Word
Week One
Memory verse for January 12-18: 2 Timothy 3:16–17
January 18
Read
Acts 17:10–12
Romans 15:13–14
Reflect
Paul is confident that God’s Holy Spirit is with the Christians in Rome. Equipped by the Holy Spirit, these Christians will continue to grow in knowledge of God, teaching and encouraging one another as their faith grows. Studying the Scripture is not a one-time event. As we turn to God’s Word daily, we find that over time we have more joy and more peace in believing.
Engage
Reread the Scripture passages. You’ve now read them two days in a row. Does anything stand out to you differently than it did yesterday? Consider the ENGAGE questions again. Don’t be afraid of the repetition. We learn more about God each time we read and reread his Word.
· What do they say about God?
· What do they say about us?
· Is there a promise to trust?
· Is there a command to obey?
· How will I apply these Scriptures to my life?
· Who will I show that I care by sharing this truth?
Memorize
Read this week’s memory verse, 2 Timothy 3:16-17. Spend a few minutes committing it to memory.

About this Plan
GO2020 is about change. The world needs Jesus, but the problem is, the majority of Christians are not sharing their faith. How do we see that change? This week we will discover our need for the Word of God and the promise of its power in our lives.
