Love God Greatly: Draw NearSample

We have two choices as fallen humans; either to run from God (because of our sin and shame) or to draw near to Him. Our nature is to run and hide, and it’s what our enemy hopes we will do. In order to draw near to God, we must understand and embrace our true identity as His children, and His identity as a good, good Father. He promises that if we draw near to Him, that He will draw near to us. He makes Himself available to us, let’s accept His invitation and draw near to Him.

What would drawing near look like for you today? Is there something keeping you from being close to your heavenly father? Confess. Repent. Ask Him to remove your guilt and shame. You are His dearly beloved child. He is waiting for you with open arms.

Lord, thank You that through Christ we may draw near to You. May the lies of Satan be unveiled by the truth of Your Word. We are forever grateful for the forgiveness of our sins and that we can be citizens of the kingdom of light! Amen.
