The Whisper of God: An Invitation to the Secret PlaceSample

 Lean into His Whisper 

A loud, yelling voice easily draws a crowd. It takes purposeful intention to lean into a gentle whisper. “Shhh, I’m trying to listen.” The Lover of our souls wants us to lean into His voice. God is saying to us today, “Come away with Me!” His whisper is an invitation into His presence to meet with Him, face-to-face.

In this passage, we see the Lord tell Elijah, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.” The Lord commanded him to go to the high place! Can you hear the voice of Your Father? He’s saying, “Come to this higher place! Ascend with Me!” If you want to lean into the whisper of the Lord, you have to consecrate and separate yourself from the noises of life and rise to the high place! 

“Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord? Or who may stand in His holy place? He who has clean hands and a pure heart, Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol, Nor sworn deceitfully.” Psalm 24:3, 4

We have been given a seat with Him in heavenly places! Come into this glorious and elevated perspective. Don’t stay in the lowlands of human reasoning and understanding. Take your seat, lean in, and listen as the Lord reveals the precious secrets of His heart. He’s drawing nearer and nearer. Get ready to become undone as you behold the beauty of His holiness!
