Unwrap the Greatest GiftSample
The Birth of Jesus Matters!
We need to remember who Christmas is all about and why it matters. We need to put Christ back in Christmas! Wouldn’t it be great if instead of saying Merry Christmas we said Merry CHRIST-mas. Don't you hope everyone will Unwrap the Greatest Gift they'll ever receive? Just think about what your life would be like if Jesus hadn’t been born. Here's why the birth of Jesus should matter to you.
- Jesus helps you when you're in trouble.
John 16:33 (NIRV) says, “I have told you these things, so that you can have peace because of me. In this world you will have trouble. But be encouraged! I have won the battle over the world.”
- Jesus doesn’t give you all of your wants but he does meet all of your needs
Philippians 4:19 (NIRV) reminds us that, ”My God will meet all your needs. He will meet them in keeping with his wonderful riches. These riches come to you because you belong to Christ Jesus.”
- When you're tired and weary over the struggles you face Jesus gives you rest
Matthew 11:28 (NIRV) states, “Come to me, all you who are tired and are carrying heavy loads. I will give you rest.
- Jesus knew your name before you did. Not only does He know your name, He knows where you live. He knows your history and future and He even knows how many hairs are on your head.

- You can give Him your problems
Jesus says in 1 Peter 5:7 (NIRV) ”Turn all your worries over to Him. He cares about you.”
- Jesus can make your life new and mend your broken heart
2 Corinthians 5:17 (NIRV) says, “When anyone lives in Christ, the new creation has come. The old is gone! The new is here!”
- When you are weak Jesus gives you inner joy that gives you the strength to get up the next day no matter how hard your life is.
Philippians 4:13 (NIRV) states, “I can do all this by the power of Christ. He gives me strength.”
We celebrate Christmas because that is when Jesus came to earth as God in human form. He can relate to us because He too had a hard life on this earth. Jesus loves you so much that He took the punishment for your sins when He died on the cross, so that your sins are forgiven if you put your trust in Him, then one day you'll live with Him forever in heaven. And that is why the birth of Jesus really matters. It’s why the story of Jesus is the Greatest Story Ever Told.
Think about it:
Have you ever experienced the birth of Christ in your heart? If not, ask Him into your life right now and you'll Unwrap the Greatest Gift you'll ever receive.
