There’s no doubt that life has its ups and downs. For every touchdown in the 4th quarter, there’s a field goal attempt that gets blocked. For every couple who makes it last forever, there’s another breaking up with heartache and tears. For every test you completely ace, there’s another that you nearly bomb. The truth is we will all experience good times and bad times we can’t change. The only thing we really can control is our response to those circumstances. 

God calls us to respond to our circumstances with things like prayer, worship, and joy. So this week, whatever the occasion—in good times or bad—commit to asking God for His help in responding well. When you go to Him with all the things you’re dealing with, have confidence that He will not only help you, but He’ll give you what you need to respond.
