Sometimes life can be defeating. We fail an important test, give in to temptation, or lose a close friend. The final promise of Christmas reminds us, though, that through Jesus we’ve got the victory! Jesus tells us that right now we live in joyous freedom; that God has not condemned us, he is for us; and that at the end of the age we will be rewarded a hundred fold. Christmas offers us the victorious life as a gift.
