With Us Here and Now
Zephaniah 3:17
The Lord is with us, right here, right now, right in the middle of where we are. Are you happy about something? He is happy with you! Are you worried? He is your peace. Are you struggling? He is your ever-present help in every situation of trouble. “The Lord your God is in your midst” (Zephaniah 3:17, ESV).
He is mighty to save you! Nothing and no one is too great for Him to conquer and rescue you, when you align your life with Him and walk in obedience. His power is greater than any other power and is available to us if we only ask.
He rejoices over you with gladness. He takes joy in you, child of God! You are a delight to Him. Let those words sink in for a bit. The Creator—perfect Father, Savior of our soul—delights in you. Let that comfort you and bring you joy.
When you are stirred up, worried, and fearful, it’s the knowledge and presence of His love that will faithfully quiet you.
Finally, He exults, or rejoices over you with singing. Did you catch that? God sings over you—with joy! I can’t even imagine! Someday, friend, perhaps we will hear the voice of our Heavenly Father singing over us, because He loves, adores, and cherishes us. We bring Him joy, just like a precious child brings a parent joy that is deeper and higher than we can imagine.
May you be encouraged by this amazing verse in Zephaniah 3:17. God is with you. He is mighty to save you. He rejoices over you with gladness, quiets you with His love, and sings a song of delight over you.
Bring your heavy heart to Him. Offer up your own song of praise. Lean into His love and power. You are one blessed child of God!
