Withhold Not Good.

“Withhold not good from them to whom it is due, when it is in the power of thine hand to do it.” Proverbs‬ ‭3:27‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Do not withhold good from others when it’s in your power to do good. Proverbs‬ ‭3:27‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “Withhold not good from those to whom it is due [its rightful owners], when it is in the power of your hand to do it.” 

When it’s in your power to do good by speaking a kind word, or by showing a kind action — choose to do good. 

Proverbs‬ ‭16:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “Pleasant words are as a honeycomb, sweet to the soul, and health to the bones.” Pleasant words bring forth life. Speak life into others. Your words help to feed and nourish the soul. 

Proverbs‬ ‭15:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “A man hath joy by the answer of his mouth: and a word spoken in due season, how good is it!” You never know how much your kind words will impact someone’s day. Maybe your kind words will secretly lift the countenance of someone in need of encouragement. Choose to speak life.

Proverbs‬ ‭3:27‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “Do not withhold good from those who deserve it when it’s in your power to help them.” Choose to spread God’s Love. Choose to reflect His Love through your life. Let your life and light shine through your countenance and interactions with others. 

Do not withhold good from others. You are a representative of Christ. Reflect His Light in dry places. Reflect His Light in dark places. “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.” John‬ ‭3:16-17‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Action:

Be intentional to show the Love of Christ. Start small. Let God lead your heart. Do something simple. Don’t withhold good from others when it’s in your power to do good.
