Stories Sample
When someone hurts you, how do you respond? Do you seek to get even or seek revenge? Do you hurt them back to make them pay for what they did to you? I mean... you have a right to get revenge, to hurt back, and to make them pay for what they did, right?
Wrong.
As followers of Jesus, we cannot hold on to unforgiveness. We cannot seek revenge or try to get back at others. You see, you’ve been forgiven of a huge debt.
Throughout the Bible, we read that everyone has sinned. Everyone deserves to be cut off from a relationship with God; we deserve death. However, God sent Jesus to forgive us of our sin and make it possible for us to have a relationship with God. Our debt has been paid.
To go and make others pay for their comparatively small debt does not make sense. How should followers of Jesus respond when others wrong them? With forgiveness. Forgiven people forgive people.
Will you choose forgive others or will you hold on to unforgiveness?

About this Plan
Jesus often taught using stories. These stories are better known as parables. Jesus’ parables can sometimes be quite confusing. In fact, Jesus once said that not everyone who heard them would understand them. And yet, these parables contain so much meaning and truth. Over the next five days, we'll look at several parables and uncover their meaning.
