Follow That Which Is GoodSample

No Other gods.

“Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” Exodus‬ ‭20:3‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Choose to turn to Christ. Choose not to follow after other gods. Choose not to surrender to the idols and strange things of this world. Surrender your heart to Him. Surrender your heart to Christ — the True and Living God. 

He is the Way in the Wilderness. He will lift you up out of your pit. He will crush every form of bondage. He will break every yoke of darkness. He will loose the bands of depression. There is nothing that can stop Him. There is nothing that can defeat Him. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life. John‬ ‭14:6‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “Jesus said to him, I am the Way and the Truth and the Life; no one comes to the Father except by (through) Me.”

God loves you so much that He sent His Only Son, Jesus Christ, to die for your sins. Romans‬ ‭6:23‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” The wages of sin is death. The wages of worshipping other gods is death — not just a physical death, but a spiritual withering that leads to both natural and spiritual death. 

When you choose worship (or give your heart over to) something or someone other than God, you’ll begin to spiritually, emotionally, physically, financially and mentally wither. You belong to Christ. You were created by God for a Purpose. Redirect your worship and focus on Him. Redirect your focus. Redirect the song of your heart. Choose to worship Christ and Christ alone. 

Your heart is longing to commune with Christ. Your heart is longing to connect with Him. Don’t give your heart to another. Choose not to serve any other god. Exodus‬ ‭34:14‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “For thou shalt worship no other god: for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God:” He is Jealous. God will not have any other gods, or god-substitutes, sitting on the throne of your heart. Surrender to Christ the King.

Deuteronomy‬ ‭4:24‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “For the Lord thy God is a consuming fire, even a jealous God.” Let God consume everything that’s not like Him. Let His Holy Fire burn up everything that has entangled your heart. Let His Fire destroy every bondage. Let His Fire destroy every stronghold. Let His Fire destroy condemnation. God is greater than your sin — He is good and His Mercy endureth forever. 

Psalms‬ ‭107:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “O give thanks unto the Lord, for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.” He is good. Surrender to Him. Surrender to His Word. Surrender and bow to His Power and Authority. Surrender to His Counsel — His Counsel is His Word. Lay aside every weight. Lay aside every distraction and choose to follow God. Who has your heart? What has your heart?

Choose to follow Christ’s Way of doing things. ‭‭ “Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us” Hebrews‬ ‭12:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬
