God’s Mission
Acts 13:2
“Set apart for me, Barnabus and Saul for the work to which I have called them.”
Acts 14:3
“…speaking boldly for the Lord, who confirmed the message of his grace by enabling them to do miraculous signs and wonders.”
Acts 14:27
“…reported all that God had done through them and how he had opened the door of faith to the Gentiles.”
Mission, evangelism, outreach and church planting are all supposed to be work that God does through those he calls. The point isn’t what kind of work we do, but rather that we yield ourselves to God and to understanding that it is his work. God calls and sets people apart for his work. When we speak to others, it is on behalf of Almighty God. The confirming work of the Spirit includes the miraculous; only God can deliver, heal and transform lives. It is God who opens doors of faith to peoples, and gives grace and salvation to seekers. This is all God’s work and we join him.
Father God, you are on a mission today and I offer myself to walk through every open door and join you, for your glory.
