If You Forsake The Lord.

“If ye forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.” Joshua‬ ‭24:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬

Choose not to forsake Christ. Don’t forsake His Way. Don’t forsake His Peace. Crave His Peace. Crave His Presence. Choose to crave Christ diligently. Choose to fill yourself with His Peace and Presence. Matthew‬ ‭5:6‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.” Choose to be filled with more of Him. Seek Him. Surrender to Him. ‭‭

Joshua‬ ‭24:20‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “If ye forsake the Lord, and serve strange gods, then he will turn and do you hurt, and consume you, after that he hath done you good.” Don’t hunger after the strange things of this world. Don’t hunger and thirst after strange gods. Don’t serve the things of this world. Choose to serve Him. Serve Christ.

According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Serve” is, ‘abad’ (H5647) which means, “To labour, to work, to work for another, to serve as subjects.” Choose not to serve other gods. Choose not to surrender to the idols of this world. Galatians‬ ‭5:1‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “Stand fast therefore in the liberty wherewith Christ hath made us free, and be not entangled again with the yoke of bondage.” Be not entangled in the gods of this world. Do not let your heart become entangled in the things of this world. Choose to serve God. Let His Peace satisfy you. 

Who do you serve? Who will you choose to worship? Who will you choose to honor? The Mercy of God is endless. The Kindness of God has no end. His Love has no end. His Peace is all consuming. Let His Peace break your struggle. Let His Peace break your worries. Let His Peace break every stronghold and yoke of the enemy. 

Psalms‬ ‭103:12‬ ‭KJV‬‬ declares, “As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.” His arms are wide open to receive you. His Heart is open to receive you. Simply repent and turn to Him. Choose to submit to a Father whose Love has no end. Choose to surrender to the God who created you. 

His Love outweighs your fears. His Love outweighs your failures. His Love crushes your shortcomings. Choose to trust Christ. Don’t forsake His Way. Let His Peace protect your heart. Shield your peace with His Love. Surrender to Christ. Shift your focus. Focus on God. 

If you have not accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, or if you have fallen away from Him, simply say this prayer:

Dear Heavenly Father, in the Name of Jesus, I repent of my sin. I turn to You. Father, I receive Your Son, Jesus Christ, as my Lord and Savior. I believe that Jesus Christ died and rose just for me. 

I believe that His Blood washes me and cleanses me from all unrighteousness. Father, in You, I am set free. Father, through the Blood of your Son, Jesus Christ my past is history and my future is bright. 

Father, In You, I am made new. Father, in You, I am complete. Father, in You, I am made whole. Father, in You, I am restored. Father, I surrender every area of my life to You now and forever. In Jesus' Name. Amen.
