Humility & Fear.

“By humility and the fear of the Lord are riches, and honour, and life.” Proverbs‬ ‭22:4‬ ‭KJV‬‬

God draws close to the humble. God promotes the humble. God enlarges the humble. God expands the borders of the humble. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Hebrew word for “Humility” is, ‘anavah’, (H6034) which means, “Meekness.” Choose to be meek. Choose to kill pride. Abase yourself. Let God exalt you. Choose to sow the gifts, talents and abilities that God has given you into His Kingdom. Build for God’s Glory. Choose to build with God. Let God lead the diligent work of your hands. Let God direct your path. Choose to surrender to Him. Worship God and not the gifts that He’s given you.

Proverbs‬ ‭22:4‬ ‭AMPC‬‬ declares, “The reward of humility and the reverent and worshipful fear of the Lord is riches and honor and life.” 

God rewards those who revere, respect, honor and worship Him. God rewards those who make His Word their priority. Choose to submit yourself to His Word. Choose to submit yourself to His way. His way is powerful. His way is sure. His way is strong. He is the way the truth and the life. When you surrender to God, He becomes your Shepherd. He becomes your Master. He becomes your Lord. There is no one like Him in Heaven or in Earth. 

Proverbs‬ ‭22:4‬ ‭NLT‬‬ declares, “True humility and fear of the Lord lead to riches, honor, and long life.” 

We don’t worship God for material things or “stuff”. We surrender to God because He is our Lord. He is our Savior. He guides our path. He guides our footsteps. Choose to surrender to God, not for the accumulation of things — choose to surrender to God because He is God.
