[Psalms] EverythingSample
God’s Handiwork
David discovers that God is everywhere because God is the Creator. God is not the same as His creation. Creation symbolizes the characteristics and the glory of God. We do not look at and worship a tree or look at a sunset and say, “Oh, there’s God over there.”
God is everywhere. He is the Creator of all we see. The heavens declare His glory. The skies declare the skill of His hands. David says, “I am fearfully and wonderfully made. You knit me together in my mother’s womb.”
Psalm 139 can answer so many questions that we have in our culture now. People have removed the Creator from society and have lifted up creation. Many are looking for the fruit of the Spirit without the Spirit. People want to have love and to be kind, patient, gentle, and faithful, but they do not want to receive the fruit of the Spirit from the Spirit. If we remove the Creator, we cannot tell everybody to be nice to each other.
Global warming will not be the motivation for a black man to love a white man. Saving the seals is not going to get the job done on a white man loving a black man. It is not going to happen. Love happens when we realize there is a Creator who has put His fingerprint on our life. He is saying, “I am the Creator and I want you to learn to love Me first, so then you can learn to value and love others.”
We all have value because we have been knit together by the same loving Father in heaven. Our skin color does not make any difference; I can love you and you can love me because the same God who loves us, has knit us together.
When we love God as He loves us, we are able to step forward and love across racial lines. My heritage is from South Louisiana. Don’t you think there is some prejudice in my heritage? But, let me tell you this: There is no prejudice in my heart because Jesus can change hearts. He can make things brand new. God wants to do that for all of us.
It is not willpower. It is the power of His love in me saying, “I want to follow through on the fingerprint of God.”

About this Plan
Everything in us is crying out, “I want to be known… please notice something special about me!” God’s knowledge of us is an intimate kind of knowledge. He knows everything about us yet He fully loves us. Experiencing this sort of love frees us from all of our fears and empowers us to follow His guidance—the dreams He has for us, the fingerprint of God on our lives.
