"Sexodus" Relationships DevotionalSample
Jesus is Your Door
When we talk about Jesus having to be our door, we mean that any relationship we pursue, or even any decision we make, must first go through the requirements that go along with what it takes for us to follow Christ. This first passage is talking about all types of relationships, whether personal or even business - if you enter into an agreement with someone who has vastly different beliefs than you on as serious a level as a relationship with Christ, issues are bound to arise. In fact, we might as well not even try because those types of relationships are bound to fail.
If you're in a relationship that isn't healthy by these standards, take a few minutes to ask God honestly if that relationship should even continue - make Jesus your door.
