The Domino EffectSample
Do you have any prejudices? Racism is a really strong word. But do you prefer some people over others? Are there some people or some types of people that you try to avoid? When you get off the phone with customer service, do you complain to the people around you, “I couldn’t understand a word they were saying!” Maybe you are annoyed because they speak a different language than you. Maybe you judge other parents on how they are raising their kids. When you check out with your groceries, do you just go to the shortest line? Or do you look at the cashiers before you pick the line you want to go in. And don’t you dare go to the 10 items or less line, with 12 items. Trust me! I’m counting. I get it. There are some people that you just have more in common with, but Jesus’ call on our life isn’t just about comfort or commonality.
In Acts 10, we see Peter enter Cornelius’ house, and he starts off with verse 34: “I now realize how true it is that God does not show favoritism, but accepts from every nation.” Jesus loves all people. He doesn’t have prejudice against skin color, nationality, man or woman, young or old. Peter continues to preach, and people begin to respond. Peter brought a group of Jews/churchgoers with him, and they began to see the Gentiles (heathens/worldly people) respond to the message of Jesus as well.
Do you live in a Christian bubble? Are all your friends churchgoers? Jesus’ call on our lives is greater than the Christian community. He wants you to share his love with people that are different than you, with people that are the opposite of you.

About this Plan
You’ve heard of the domino effect, right? The term is used to describe when one event sets off a chain reaction of other events.. Is your life, your choices and your commitments creating a domino line? Our mission and call as believers in Jesus is to continue to build our domino line so generation after generation will be able to proclaim the name of Jesus.
