Paul and Barnabas preach and teach both Jews and Gentiles in South Galatia, then in AD 52 return to the Apostles’ headquarters in Jerusalem via Antioch in Syria, and debate suitable rules for Gentiles.
Note Acts 15:2: Most Jews remained unbelievers. Their negative attitudes and dishonest arguments led to persecution and the poisoning of Gentile minds. There is an Antioch in Galatia but Paul’s party return to the Antioch in Syria. The locations of the main first century churches are indicated on the map in Appendix I: Location of First Century Churches.
