Epic (Part 3): The Storyline Of The BibleSample
An unusual thing about the Bible is that it describes the failures along with the victories of its heroes: Abraham lied; Moses said he was incapable; David committed adultery; etc. The Bible isn’t a book about heroes; it’s a book about flawed people that God used to do amazing things. God responded to Elijah’s fear with a clear message, but also with patience.
We are all mixtures of success and failure, and our failures can come at times when things are going well. It’s good that God is patient with us, but hopefully we are making some progress toward more faith in God.

About this Plan
This is part three of a four part plan to read the books of the Bible that tell of the historical events. Although the Bible contains many stories, it is one epic story of God’s interactions with humanity. One day per week can be used to catch up on missed readings or for reflection. Notes are also included to assist with understanding.
