Absalom then makes a key mistake by delaying his pursuit of David. Had Absalom attacked David immediately, he would most certainly have won. Why would Absalom reject good advice and accept terrible advice? We can only guess that God is answering David’s prayer from 2 Samuel 15:31. It good to know in our hours of desperation that God hears and answers prayer!
