Ministers of Reconciliation.
“And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry of reconciliation;” 2 Corinthians 5:18 KJV
We are ministers of reconciliation. Reconcile them back to Christ. Let your actions reflect the Love of Christ. John 12:32 KJV states, “And I, if I be lifted up from the earth, will draw all men unto me.” In its proper context, this scripture is referring to the crucifixion of Christ. Jesus was referring to His death. If He was to be “lifted up”, or crucified on the cross, then He would draw all men unto Himself.
Applying this scripture as a principle, as Christians, if we lift up and exalt Christ within our daily conversations, deeds, actions, and lifestyle, then He will draw all men unto Him. Reflect the Love of Christ in every aspect of your life. As ministers of reconciliation we are to lift up Christ. Choose to lift up His Word. Reflect the Love of Christ. Let God draw men back to Himself.
The foundation of reconciliation is Love. Do you remember the story of the “Prodigal” son and his father? In Luke Chapter 15 the Father was waiting for his son to return home. Although his son had left, and recklessly spent all that he had, the Father was waiting in anticipation for his son to return back home. The Father’s Love was recklessly waiting to embrace his son. Let God’s Love call the wayward back home.
Let Love reconcile sons back to the fathers. 1 Peter 4:8 AMPC declares, “Above all things have intense and unfailing love for one another, for love covers a multitude of sins [forgives and disregards the offenses of others]. [Prov. 10:12.]” Let the Love of God reconcile wayward hearts back to the Father’s arms. Choose to show the Love of Christ in every area of your life. Choose to Love.
