Take A Mission Trip To Your WorkplaceSample
MISSION TRIP WRAP-UP
Congratulations on finishing this MISSION TRIP to your workplace or business!
You may not see any results or even think that the effort was worthwhile, but regardless of how you think it went, angels in heaven are smiling along with God Himself.
The point of the MISSION TRIP was not to convert anyone, but to somehow show something of the Kingdom of God to one or more of your co-workers – just by you being NICER and BLESSing others.
And over the past five days, you did that!
You stepped out of your comfort zone and made a prayerful outreach to one or more of your co-workers, to give them a taste of the GOOD NEWS that God has for them.
What happens next is up to God.
Maybe you planted seeds that will lie dormant for years to come.
Maybe you planted seeds that will sprout as you continue in relationship with that person.
Maybe the people you reached will take action themselves, without you ever knowing about it.
Many times, we do not hear back on the results of actions we take as Christians. And, that may be just the way God wants it.
Given our human condition, it’s all too easy to imagine how we might feel if the results of our actions were known to us and others. Comparisons, pride and jealousy could quickly arise to destroy the God’s Kingdom faster than we could imagine.
So be blessed in knowing that you stepped out, that you reached out, that you BLESSed a co-worker.
Now what?
We finished a 5-day mini MISSION TRIP, so what comes after that?
For some, it may be a time to step back and reflect.
For others, it means a continued building of relationship and friendship with a co-worker.
For yet others, it might mean doing it again, with a different focus and maybe even a different approach.
And for yet others, maybe it’s changed your life so that you’ve found a new way of working – a way of being NICER and BLESSing others as your style of doing your work each and every day.
What your next step is, is unique to you and part of God’s larger plan for you and you alone. So no comparison with others, no feelings of pride or guilt – but in humility thank God for your work, your talents, your opportunities as you continue forward.
Whichever route is the one revealed to you, be sure to continue to live out your faith at work:
Be NICER and BLESS others
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for using me on this MISSION TRIP at my work. Help me to understand your will for my life going forward, and to engage accordingly. My life is not my own, but I belong to you – to serve and help where I can. May my presence at my workplace glorify You and help build Your Kingdom, not mine. HALLELUJAH and AMEN!
ACTIONS
Meet with your prayer partner(s) for a wrap-up celebration and prayer for next steps. Enjoy what God has done, and pray that your life at work may continue to reach others for His Kingdom.
Consider sharing your MISSION TRIP story with your small group, friends at church or even your pastor. Encourage others to try it for their work. Join them as prayer partner or go on another MISSION TRIP yourself.
