Life According To Jim - Lessons From Jesus' Brother, JamesSample
Jesus taught that the words that come out of our mouths reflect our heart – good or bad. Similarly, James thinks of our words as the fruit of a tree or the water from a spring. The words we use reveal the condition of our hearts.
And James also warns us that words work in the opposite direction: the words we use shape the condition of our hearts. Like a horse’s bit or a ship’s rudder, they have the power to shape our lives and even souls.
How might the words you use today be shaping your heart? What might they reveal about it?

About this Plan
No one reads the book of James and thinks, “So what does that have to do with me?” Unlike many of the New Testament letters that were written to one specific church, James is writing instructions to Christians all over. During this 14-day plan, we will be challenged and encouraged by the book of James’ practical and timely message.
