According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for fear is "deilia" (G1167), which means “timidity, fearfulness or cowardice.” God did not build you to be timid. You are not a coward. He’s placed His spirit in you to be powerful, courageous, dynamic and full of faith. It takes faith to obey God. Choose to rebuke fear and walk in faith. 

When you are full of fear or you’re in a constant state of being “fearful,” your decisions and actions are double minded and unstable. James‬ ‭1:8‬ (‭KJV)‬‬ states, “A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.” Fear leads to instability. According to Strong’s Concordance, the Greek word for “double minded” is ‘dipsychos’ (G1374) which means “wavering, uncertain, doubting, divided in interest.” A double minded man is unstable in every area of his life. A double minded man (or woman) is uncertain, doubting and has a divided interest. Choose to live by and function in faith. Cancel fear’s assignment by surrendering to God.

You can’t function in both realms. You choose—faith or fear. 2 Corinthians‬ ‭5:7‬ (‭KJV)‬ states, “For we walk by faith, not by sight:” In other words, we live our life by faith and not by what we see. We must function by faith and not by fear. Fear cannot lead your path. When fear leads you, it will paralyze your destiny. Fear will try to disrupt your course and cause you to abandon and abort your destiny. Fear will cause you to shrink and “dumb down” the vision that God has given you. You are who God says that you are! Choose to live by faith and not by fear. ‭‭Don’t shrink. Make a decision to seek God and live out what He says about you daily.

Reflect: Take some time to reflect upon who has God called you to be. Reflect upon His Word and choose to live by and digest His Word daily. Choose to crush fear and walk by faith. Start small. Take the first step. Start that business, release that book, open that ministry, go back to school. Let God lead your path and break the cycle of fear.
