The Rhythm of Life

What you say goes, God, and stays, as permanent as the Heavens. Your truth never goes out off fashion; it’s as up-to-date as the earth when the sun comes up. [Psalm 119:89-90, MSG]

From ancient of days to the present, God’s Word is reliable and dependable. He is the same yesterday, today, and forever and we can always count on His Word to be perfect and timely for whatever season or circumstance we are currently in. From the first page of Scripture to the last, there is no mistaking the deep desire of our Father’s heart to be known by His children. He longs for intimacy and closeness. It is in the drawing near to Him that He draws near to us. With His very hands He forms us, He breathes life into our lungs, and sustains us. He gave us His Word so that we can know Him and align our lives with His heart – His best! 

God’s revelation becomes the cadence and rhythm of our lives. Whole and Holy, body and soul we find ourselves more in sync with Him the more we sit with Him. It’s a beautiful daily posture of surrender and listening, hearing and obeying. And as we do, His Word becomes the anchor, compass and constant in our hearts. He is faithful and trustworthy, now and always. It’s our privilege to respond through praise and honor with our whole life one long, obedient response [Psalm 119:40, MSG].

Take some time today to incorporate this attitude into a response of praise and worship. Your life one long, obedient response!
