Reading the Bible in Historical Sequence Part 10Sample
AD 30 After three years of John’s ministry of preparation Jesus appears again: ‘Behold the Lamb of God’ (John 1:29). Jesus implies He is the ‘ladder to heaven’ foreshadowed by Jacob’s dream (Genesis 28:12; John 1:51). He attends Passover in Jerusalem, expels traders, then baptizes believers in northeast Judea.
Note John 2:20: If the Temple took 46 years to build, its completion would have been in AD 27/28 because it was started in 19/20 BC.
