Everyone. Everywhere. Part 2Sample
Biblical Community
The Bible is very clear about the importance of living in community with fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. A great place to find this community is in a church. The church is a place where people come to pray, study the Word of God, share the entirety of their lives, and serve alongside one another.
Christ desires for His people to reach full maturity in Him. Is that possible while on earth? No, but we join with our community to pursue this maturity so that we have a firm foundation from which we minister for the glory of God and the good of others. Going to a church is part of this pursuit, but Christ calls us to BE the church. We are to give ourselves to Him so that our gifts can be used to glorify our heavenly Father and bring others to maturity in Christ.
In order to share the Good News with others we must dig into a life-giving community so that all of our actions come from a place of knowing Him and wanting to make Him known.
Questions to Ask Yourself:
- Are you actively giving your time, money, and resources to the local church?
- Reading Ephesians 4:11, which category would you fall under?
- As an evangelist and teacher of the word, how are you building up the body of Christ?
What’s Next:
- Find new ways to invest in your local church this coming year through your time, money, or resources.
