Rise Of The Servant KingsSample

Rise Of The Servant Kings

DAY 5 OF 5

God’s Promise to You

God promises to make us kings, figuratively through a life of peace and joy in this age (John 14:27; 15:11) and literally in the age to come (2 Timothy 2:12; Revelation 20:4–6).

You may have failed miserably since you became a Christian. You may wonder whether you will ever get to the level of some of the great people of God you’ve heard of or maybe even known. You may think that because you’ve been a Christian for a long time and are still lukewarm, you’ll never be a success spiritually.

For some of us, it is one great moment of intense pain that breaks our cycle of failure from living in the flesh. For others, it is a series of moments.

We have a habit of seeing our heroes through the lens of their finished lives, but we must remember that it was a series of choices that led to their final destination that made them great. Walking with God is a long process of going from the sinful nature’s pride and the need to know to a place of complete faith. We’re all on that journey, and God wants to bring us each closer to Him. Sometimes it is through His gentle nudging as we read the Bible and pray. Sometimes, though, it takes a time of great pain because God must break us in some area so that we can really grow.

God wants us to snatch people from Satan’s hands and deliver them to Him as our brothers and sisters in Christ. Your past failures mean nothing except for the opportunity to learn from them. Your past successes mean nothing except for the satisfaction of a job well done for your Father in heaven. God lives in the present. Your brothers and sisters need you to be present. The suffering and the lost need you right now.

To those who belong to Him, Jesus is returning to take us home and to reward us for the things we have done after being saved. Our sins He remembers no more, but our deeds are precious to Him. So let us do the work that God gave us. Let us get busy. Let us be men.

Let us be servant kings.

What past failures or past successes to you need to let go of as you step into your role as a servant king?

We hope this Plan encouraged you.
