PERMANENT FREEDOM

Have you ever received a gift so special you thought, Man, I sure do wish this would last forever. Maybe you’ve been at a concert or with your favorite people and wished the night would never end. 

As you journey with Jesus and fight to choose freedom daily, you’re probably going to have thoughts like, Man, I didn’t know freedom could be this good. Can this last forever? 

And the answer is yes! 

The enemy lies and tries to convince us that we’ll always have to deal with a specific sin, that we’ll never get over what happened, or experience something as great as that season. But in Jesus’ name, that’s not the voice of your Father! 

God always has more freedom, more of His Spirit to give. Often, we don’t have because we won’t ask. We don’t step into what’s next because we’re comfortable with where we are now. We settle for the way things are instead of stepping into the way things could be. 

If you feel spiritually stuck or find yourself wrestling with the same old sin, would you be bold enough to ask God to shake things up or to redirect your thoughts? 

It’s impossible to break free from something when we’re hyper-focused on it. But if we’ll get our eyes off the problem and onto the Person who loves us and saved us, we’ll find our actions and attitudes soon follow. 

You were not created to struggle with the same sin forever. You were made for so much more.
