90 Days Of Prayer: Daily Prayer Through PsalmsSample
Read Psalm 49 today.
What does the psalmist warn the reader about throughout the psalm?
In what or in whom does the psalmist encourage the reader to be confident?
What does the psalmist say about the wealthy, poor, wise, foolish, etc.?
Since we are all equal in death, we remain confident only in our God.
As you reflect on this, pray in these ways and any other way the Holy Spirit leads.
- Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal earthly blessings in which you place your confidence.
- Confess your jealousy of others’ earthly blessings and/or your pride in your own earthly blessings.
- Pray for insight and understanding.
- Thank God for his rescue of redemption from death through Jesus Christ.
