Knowing Christ & Making Him Known Sample
Did you know that your life matters and that God has a plan and purpose for your life? You are here for a purpose, and that purpose is divine. Most people don’t realize that or don’t believe that the God of the entire universe cares anything for them. We feel so insignificant in the big scheme of things. God is amazing and ruler of the universe. He is so far beyond our comprehension that it can hurt your head if you try and fathom His vastness. That is what makes His desire to have fellowship with you so incredible. He looks past everything else in eternity and spends one on one time with each of His children. That is an amazing father.
As you grow in God you discover the uniqueness of His design for your life. God created you special and has given you gifts that are special to you. He needs you to be you. If two of us are identical, then one of us is unnecessary. God did not make robots with all the same functions. Below are 4 characteristics of a Godly blueprint.
1. God-Breathed
Your blueprint has got to come directly from God. If you want to have success in life and bring Him glory, you must submit to His blueprint. This is why abiding is so important. Hearing His voice and allowing Him to lead you according to His plans is crucial for lasting fruit.
2. God-Empowered
It’s easy to start a race or a journey. There are a lot of people at the starting gate. There are a whole lot less at the finish line. If you want to have success in God’s kingdom, you have to allow Him to empower you to the finish line. It is easy to get off and tell God that you got it from here and don’t need Him. This will leave you laboring in your own strength and ability. Other times you will get distracted and off course. Allow God to be the leader and follow His blueprint closely so that you don’t grow weary and disqualify yourself from the race.
3. God-Fulfilled
A disciple allows God to author his faith and, through abiding in Christ, gives Him permission to be the finisher of his faith. If you are going to successfully navigate God’s blueprint you must allow Him to bring the fulfillment. Do you trust that God knows what He is doing and that He can do it better than you? Let God bring the fulfillment of the plan. Remember, if you allowed Him to author your blueprint then why would you try and be the finisher? Let God fulfill and make it happen.
4. God-Glorifying
The blueprint of God for your life comes down to one thing — bringing Him glory. Not your happiness or comfort. His blueprint for your life is not about you. God does not do what He does to make you comfortable. The quicker you realize that your life is about bringing Him glory, the sooner you will be able to walk out the blueprint He has for you. Allow God to be glorified in every part of your daily life. Pointing people to Him will bring you great joy and peace.
Action Items:
Take some time to prayerfully consider what it is that God has created you for. You may or may not have a clue. You may be on a good path to where He wants you, and you should continue on with His direction. You may be on the wrong path and need to realign with the blueprint that God has for you. Ask God to speak specifically on this topic.
